Public Benefits:
Transportation
We know that traffic is a major concern with any new development, so we will make a concerted effort to significantly ease congestion in the area. The Hollywood Park Tomorrow plan includes numerous improvements and upgrades to key intersections and street segments in Inglewood that will mitigate the project’s impacts and ease existing traffic flow.
We conducted a traffic study where we analyzed 66 separate intersections in the vicinity of Hollywood Park Tomorrow. Using conservative “worst case” forecasts, we discovered that six intersections would be impacted by the Hollywood Park Tomorrow development project.
As a result, we plan on widening the main thoroughfares surrounding the project site including Prairie Avenue and Century Boulevard. We will upgrade traffic signals in the area and synchronize 19 signals at key intersections in Inglewood, which is projected to improve intersection capacity by 15%.
Another traffic-reducing feature of Hollywood Park Tomorrow’s design is its pedestrian-friendly walkways and trails that weave throughout the property, encouraging residents to leave their cars behind. The project will also provide walkways from within the project to major transit corridors on Century Boulevard and Prairie Avenue, allowing residents to easily access public transportation.
Hollywood Park Tomorrow will create less traffic compared to other developments by providing a mix of entertainment, restaurants, homes and parks all within walking distance of each other.
