The Plan:
Parks
Walkways, promenades, paseos and bike trails will connect all areas of Hollywood Park, encouraging residents to adopt a more active lifestyle and enjoy the beautifully-landscaped setting. Four parks totaling 25 acres will feature dog parks, tot lots, volleyball courts, jogging and hiking trails as well as open playing fields. All parks will be available for both residents and members of the greater Inglewood community to enjoy.
| Champion Park With its mix of spacious lawns and formal gardens, Champion Park reflects the character of renowned urban spaces such as Bryant Park in New York City. There will be ample open space for picnics, casual games and community events, while terraced gardens will incorporate flowering shrubs and perennials. Relax in the seating plaza, enjoy a meal at the barbecue pavilion or try your hand at one of the game tables along the southern end of the park. |
| Lake Park This central public open space of the new Hollywood Park community connects the retail plaza, Arroyo Park and adjacent residential neighborhoods in an attractive natural setting. From overlooks and a pier to a lakefront plaza and walking paths, there will be numerous opportunities to enjoy a lake with a dramatic waterfall. Bird watching will be effortless, as an active wetland will provide habitat for a variety of animal and plant species. Active recreational areas also abound at Lake Park, and will include a sand volleyball court, open lawns for picnic and play, and a children’s playground. A bicycle path will encompass the perimeter of the lake, which also serves as a sustainable stormwater treatment system. |
| Arroyo Park A network of crisscrossing walkways and trails enhances the space of this linear, meandering park with indigenous riparian landscaping. Arroyo Park will feature informal gardens, a nature education amphitheater, and a children’s playground with naturalistic equipment. Here you can leisurely enjoy game tables or barbecue and picnic pavilions, or get more engaged with bocce ball courts, a putting green, water play area or an exercise par course. |
| Bluff Park Located at the eastern edge of Arroyo Park, Bluff Park will feature the most active recreational elements within the community, including an aquatics center, a small and large dog park and facilities for organized sports. In addition to a junior Olympic-sized swimming pool, children’s pool, spa and tennis courts, the aquatics center will welcome residents through the historic Hollywood Park Turf Club entry pavilion. The public active space will showcase an open field for informal sports, a half basketball court, children’s play equipment and picnic and barbecue pavilions. |
